aligned is built for adults in the lifestyle — couples, single women, single men, and non-binary individuals who are interested in ethical non-monogamy, swinging, open relationships, and lifestyle-adjacent social connections. Everyone on the platform is 18 or older.

Creating a profile, browsing other profiles, RSVPing to events, and messaging connections is free. Paid plans (Premium and VIP) unlock additional features like advanced AI search, higher photo quotas, profile boosts, and business listings. Pricing starts at $14.99 per month on the Premium tier.

Yes — you can sign up, complete a profile, browse the community, RSVP to events, and connect with people for free. Premium and VIP subscriptions are optional upgrades.

Go to alignedsocial.app, click Get Started, choose your profile type (couple, single female, single male, or non-binary), and complete the short onboarding. aligned is currently in pre-launch and requires an invite or referral code — if you don't have one, you can join the waitlist and we'll reach out as your area opens up.

ID verification is optional but encouraged. Verified profiles show a verification badge and gain trust signals in discovery. Some events and venues may require verification for RSVP. We use a third-party ID verification partner — aligned does not store copies of your ID.

When the primary partner signs up, aligned generates a 10-character link code that expires in 24 hours. The second partner enters that code during their own signup flow to join the couple account. Both partners share a combined profile and get their own logins.

Both Must Yes is a couples-only matching mechanic. Each partner in a couple votes yes, no, or maybe on a profile independently. Results only reveal when both partners have voted, and a match only fires when both vote yes. Individual votes are never revealed to the other partner to protect private preferences.

Both partners log in with their own credentials and can use the couple account independently. Couple-specific features like Both Must Yes require both votes to resolve. Accounts where only one partner has logged in for an extended period are flagged for review.

Yes. Singles of all genders — single female, single male, and non-binary — can join and connect with couples and other singles. Each profile type has its own filter options and discovery rules.

Our AI search lets you describe what you're looking for in plain English. Type something like 'full-swap couples in Denver who love concerts' and the AI parses your query into structured filters across location, lifestyle preferences, interests, and profile attributes. It works alongside traditional filter chips if you prefer a more granular approach.

The Vibe Score is a compatibility percentage shown on profiles you browse. It's calculated from a blend of lifestyle preferences, adventure level, social style, connection style, experience level, and shared interests. Each score includes an explanation so you can see why aligned thinks you'd vibe — or why you wouldn't.

When a connection is formed, aligned can suggest three tailored opening messages drawn from what you and the other person both care about. Use them as-is, tweak them, or write your own — the goal is to help conversations start well instead of stalling on 'hey.'

The Connections graph is an interactive 3D visualization of your network — first-degree connections, friends of friends, and AI-suggested introductions. You can toggle between Connections mode and Search mode to explore who's in your orbit.

No. We do not send your private profile content, messages, or photos to external model training pipelines. AI features (search parsing, vibe scoring, icebreakers) run against your data at request time only, and we don't sell data to third parties.

Safety is built into the platform: optional government ID verification, a three-tier content privacy system, a community reporting system, a published three-strike moderation policy with appeals, and active content scanning on uploads. You're responsible for how you interact with other members; we give you the tools to do that on your terms.

Every piece of content you upload belongs to one of three tiers: Public (visible to anyone who matches your basic filters), Connected (visible only to people you've accepted as connections), and Private (visible only to members you grant individual access passes to). You choose the tier per photo or album.

Stealth mode hides your profile from search and discovery entirely. You can still message, message back, and access the app normally — you just don't appear to people who aren't already connected to you. A persistent banner reminds you when stealth is on.

Discreet mode blurs your profile photo and avatar for strangers (people you aren't connected to). Connections see your photo normally. It's a middle ground between fully visible and full stealth.

On mobile, any operating system allows screenshots and we cannot prevent them technically. On web, screenshots are likewise always possible. Our protection comes from three-tier privacy — keep sensitive content in Connected or Private tiers and only grant access to people you trust. Sharing someone's private content without consent is grounds for a permanent ban.

Every image uploaded is scanned by an NSFW classifier that assigns a content tier floor (you can raise but not lower it). We also hash-match against known-CSAM databases — any match is blocked and reported to NCMEC's CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. Community reports go to a human moderation queue with a three-strike policy and appeal process.

Verification is optional at signup. Verified members display a badge and may have access to verified-only events. Community reports and trust signals (account age, activity patterns, mutual connections) supplement verification for members who haven't verified.

From any profile, tap the three-dot menu to access Block (they can't see you or message you), Silence (they can see your public profile but can't message), or Report (sends the profile or content to our moderation queue with a reason).

Yes — native iOS and Android apps are in pre-launch alongside the web platform. Native apps support everything the web does, plus push notifications, camera-ready uploads, and event check-ins on the go. App Store and Google Play listings go live at launch.

Members can discover lifestyle events and venues near them, RSVP (often for free), and see who else is going. Event creators can set rules like invite-only, verified-only, or profile-type ratios. RSVPs sometimes trigger a group chat so attendees can coordinate ahead of time.

Yes. Premium and VIP members can list one business in the Shops directory across four categories: Clothing and lingerie, Jewelry and accessories, Adult toys and wellness, and Services. Business owners can switch into their business persona to respond to customer inquiries while keeping their personal account separate.

Venues are lifestyle clubs, bars, and play spaces you can RSVP to, review, and see who else has checked in. Resorts are longer-stay lifestyle destinations (often international). Both have ratings, photos, amenities, and community reviews. Listings are free to browse for any signed-in member.

Travel lets you post upcoming trips with dates and destinations so you can meet locals or coordinate with other travelers in the area. You can see who's traveling to or from your city and start conversations before arrival.

Send a connection request from any profile. If the other person accepts, you become connections — they can see your Connected-tier content and vice versa. You can unlock conversation without being connected, but connecting is the standard path for mutual access to non-public content.

One-click cancel from your billing settings. Your paid features stay active until the end of the current billing period — no surprise downgrades. We also send a 7-day renewal reminder before every auto-renewal so nothing is a surprise.

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. When you cancel, your paid features stay on until the end of the current billing period — no downgrade in the middle of the month. Exceptions: where local law requires otherwise, and the Founding Member satisfaction guarantee in our Terms. If something looks wrong on a charge, email hello@alignedsocial.app and we'll take a look.

Settings → Delete account. Your profile and most content are removed within 30 days. Some safety-related records and financial records may be retained for the period required by law. Deletion is permanent; we don't soft-delete accounts waiting for you to come back.

Profile fields, photos, albums, messages, and connections are removed from active systems. Hashed records and moderation history may be kept for up to 12 months to enforce bans and comply with legal obligations. Financial records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law.

Yes — sign-up is open everywhere in the US. The Discover and Map surfaces use the city you set in your profile, so set that accurately and you'll see who and what is happening around you. We anchor event programming to specific cities (Atlanta, Austin, Nashville, Phoenix, Charlotte, Chicago to start, with more on the way), but the platform itself is open to anyone 18+.

The first 3,000 sign-ups get a permanent Founding Member badge plus a locked-in founding rate (20% off the regular subscription) for the lifetime of the account. After the 3,000 cap, the badge retires. Founding Members also get a longer free VIP trial (30 days vs. 14).
