Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026
Our commitment
aligned is committed to making our website and apps usable for as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve the experience for everyone as part of our regular development.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We consider our site to be partially conformant — meaning most of the platform meets the standard, and we are actively working on the areas that do not yet fully conform.
What we've done
Recent and ongoing measures include:
- Keyboard access to interactive controls, with a visible focus indicator
- A “skip to content” link and labeled page landmarks
- Text and interface colors checked against WCAG contrast minimums
- Support for browser and device zoom (we do not disable pinch-to-zoom)
- Labels and accessible names on form fields and buttons
- Dialogs that manage focus, trap it while open, and close with the Escape key
- Descriptive page titles and heading structure
- Periodic accessibility reviews as we ship new features
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:
- Third-party components. Some features rely on external services (for example, our payment provider's checkout widget, identity verification, and map tiles). We do not fully control their accessibility, though we choose vendors with accessibility in mind.
- Member-generated content. Photos, videos, and text posted by members may lack alternative text or captions. We encourage members to add descriptions and are improving the tools that make this easier.
If you encounter one of these barriers, please tell us — see below. We will do our best to provide the information or functionality you need through an alternative method.
